Alleged irregularities in the recruitment of staff to the council are reported. From the actions carried out, it has been proven that the public and private activity of the reported natural person were carried out in the same sector and that there was no recognition of compatibility, not even a request for compatibility regarding the private activity. Therefore, the current regulations on incompatibilities were breached and a real conflict of interest was generated. It is true that, once the actions initiated by this Office and requests for information were made to the council, a proactive attitude was produced by the latter, which resulted in the voluntary termination of employment as a public employee. These circumstances would have made the object of the present research actions fall away. However, a communication was issued to the council, so that in the future it articulates preventive measures to detect similar situations.
