Following a report, possible incompatibilities and conflicts of interest on the part of several professors and researchers at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the University of Barcelona have been investigated. According to the information obtained, several professors at the faculty in question were owners of pharmacy offices without any compatibility in this regard and, in addition, one of these professors also had a conflict of interest in a research department at the faculty. After the corresponding checks, a recommendation has been sent to the University of Barcelona to review the appropriate compatibility between the teaching activity of professors at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences and the private activities they may carry out and, specifically, that relating to the ownership of pharmacy offices.
