Following a report, the council's possible favorable treatment of a company awarded service contracts and the potential conflict of interest of an elected official who would have participated in the award, despite the relationship of affinity with the person responsible for the contracted company, have been examined. It is established that the elected position, as a member of the contracting body, was immersed in a conflict of interest with the successful tenderer. Consequently, the Sallent Town Council should initiate an ex officio review procedure in relation to the contracts promoted by the corporation with the supplier company.
