As the result of actions taken on its own initiative, the Anti-Fraud Office examined a case of alleged favouritism by the Municipal Council of Palau-solità i Plegamans related to the award, and subsequent resolution for non-compliance by the contractor, of a procurement contract for public works under the administrative concession system, for the construction and operation of a sports complex. An analysis was also made of the possible incompatibility of a council employee who combined his work with professional exercise as a lawyer in the private sector. This inquiry concluded with a resolution to discontinue.
