Olèrdola Town Council

April-2023

Following a report, the alleged illegal allocation of public funds is being investigated, with the aim of compensating for the loss of purchasing power of council staff, resulting from the salary freeze implemented at the time and the abolition of overtime pay of the month of December agreed by Royal Decree Law 20/2012, of July 13, on measures to guarantee budgetary stability and to promote competitiveness. The investigative actions showed that, with regard to the years 2011 and 2012, there was a distortion of the productivity supplement as a result of delinking its collection from any objective to achieve and pay it linearly to all workers. Therefore, this Office did not find any desire to favor certain specific municipal workers. The possible irregularities noted were circumscribed within the strict scope of the possible violation of ordinary legality, without any indication of a corrupt element, outside, therefore, of the scope of action proper to this Office. It was agreed to archive the action.
