As a result of a report about possible irregularities and preferential treatment in the awarding of contracts by the Meteorological Service of Catalonia to companies linked to a certain person, an action has been initiated in which it has been examined whether the facts reported presented sufficient indications of irregularity in matters of public procurement. The examination carried out has accredited indications of sufficient entity, and, in fact, the irregularities initially appreciated in the plausibility phase have been corroborated. However, the action has been archived because it has been verified that these same facts have already been the subject of coincident actions in other areas, including criminal proceedings, the Catalan Competition Agency and a report from the Auditor General.
