Department of Health

June-2022

On the occasion of having received a report, the presumed favorable treatment of a company by the Department of Health in the provision of a service has been examined. The following irregularities have been noted, which, considered as a whole, would be compatible with a favorable treatment to the aforementioned company: a breach of remuneration agreements with the contractor company is identified; an overcharge of the service by the contractor company is detected; during the eight months of the contract, eight invoices corresponding to the service provided were issued, with a total amount that matches 99.99% with eight dozen parts of the sum of the fixed part and the maximum variable part for twelve months established in the contract at the time of award. Given the variable nature of the subject of the contract, this coincidence is improbable. Finally, there is repeated non-compliance by the Government with Parliament's agreements to terminate the contract that is the subject of this action.
