The object of these actions would affect the eventual illegal use or destination of public funds by the officials of the Catalan Water Agency (ACA). The alleged embezzlement would have occurred in the framework of the management of the collection of unpaid water bills from citizens paid by certain companies. The unpaid bills would have been endorsed to the ACA by these companies in order to offset their debt to the water administration in the form of the water tax. The proceedings ended with an archiving resolution.
