Following a report about alleged fraud committed by a company in the provision of the rehabilitation service contracted by CatSalut to a specific person, an action has been initiated in which several irregularities have been examined: the possible billing of sessions not carried out, the alleged forgery of the patient's signatures on the attendance control documents, and the allegedly irregular use of a municipally owned premises to provide the service. The examination carried out shows that the irregularities relating to the use of the premises have not been proven, since the company had the necessary legal documents to occupy it and also provide private services there. On the other hand, the documentation provided, especially that of the Department of Health and its inspection services, does prove irregularities in the provision of the service, including the lack of correspondence between visits and notes in the clinical history and records on non-working days. However, it has not been possible to reliably prove the forgery of signatures, although the attendance control system presented risks. Given that these same facts were already the subject of a disciplinary proceeding by the Department of Health, resolved with a sanction to the company and recognition of the irregularities found, the Office's action is materially exhausted, which is why it has been filed.
