Following a complaint, the alleged irregularities committed by the manager of a municipal capital company and the chairman of the Board of Directors of another municipal capital company have been investigated, in relation to a possible improper use of public funds of aforementioned companies, consisting of the payment of expenses of a strictly private nature. From the investigative actions it is concluded that we have two municipal companies in respect of which the respective general meetings, i.e. the Plenary of the City Council, did not carry out any effective control of their annual accounts and, specifically, of the performance of their managerial positions. The facts presented show that the public managers acted negligently in the administration and management of public funds, a circumstance that caused patrimonial damage to the local entity on which they depended.
